  1. I find that some TNCs take advantage of poor countries with their not so strict regulations. Some TNCs will dump their waste directly into the ground and cause health problems and harm to the flora and fauna.
I'll go find some sources for this.

  2. Sweatshops are evil don't you agree? They tend to exploit cheap labour and abuse their workers, you guys should check out the youtube vid and online articles on NIKE sweatshops on Ms Geo's blog

  3. Hmm, I disgree with you there. If not for TNCs like Nike investing in 3rd world countries, the people will never be able to find jobs and earn enough to improve their standard of living

  4. But should we really blame the TNCs then?? Greed is just human nature. Maybe we should blame the 3rd world governments for not putting enough regulations in place and for being so corrupt?

    Just my thoughts

  5. I agree it's hard to change a government, especially one that is riddled with corruption.

I personally feel that we should just boycott products made by TNCs that exploit such workers. As consumers, we can have our say. We should also let others know about such unfair practices.

  6. You know I realised that Transnational corporations (TNCs)like Nike factories also pollute the air through their manufacturing processes because of the lax enviromental protection laws. That's why China's carbon footprint is so huge!

So there seems to be a link between labour exploitation and enviromental pollution. It will be good if we can find some sources as evidence. What do you guys think?
